The first time I went to Paris over 10 years ago, I had a few stores I had to hit on my shopping list, and one of them was Petit Bateau. A few friends had turned me on to their basic tees and I was in love. I stocked up (this was when the Euro had nothing on the dollar) and dreamt of the day I’d have a baby that I could dress her in the soft, cuddly cotton.
Today, Petit Bateau is readily available in the US (with retail stores in Beverly Hills and Boston). Their onesies, camis and leggings are a staple for my 2 year old (and their tanks and tees for me!). I just took a peek at the summer and fall look books and can’t believe how far the brand has come—adorable poplin dresses, swimwear, and winter coats. Ah mon doux bebe, vous etes tres chic dans Petit Bateau!
