Designer for WWD@100 Project {Gilt Groupe Sale}

To celebrate Women’s Wear Daily’s 100th anniversary, the publication has collaborated with Gilt Groupe to host a 2-day sale that includes limited-edition pieces by 11 designers who have re-imagined iconic looks from the last century of fashion. Participating designers: Adam, Alexandre Birman, Dana Lorenz for Fenton/Fallon, Doo.Ri, Jason Wu, Kimberly Ovitz, Lyn Devon, Marchesa, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler and Thakoon.

In addition to the sale, WWD + Gilt will award their most influential ambassador with a fabulous shopping spree.  Participants in the project will be encouraged to spread the word via social media outlets.  The person who generates the most awareness by rallying entries on WWDGiltPromo.com will win the highly coveted $1,000 credit on Gilt. Yes, please!!!

An exhibition at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will offer a first look at the limited-edition pieces along with an installation of historic images from the impressive WWD archives.  Open to the public, free of charge, at the David Rubenstein Atrium on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets in New York City, September 14 – 16, 2010, 10am to 8pm.
