Nina Garcia, fashion director of Marie Claire, famed Project Runway judge, and all-around stylish lady, has penned a new book to inspire us to dress better and maybe even spend less time changing outfits before walking out the door. Charming fashion illustrations by Ruben Toledo are used throughout to show the various ensembles. The stylish tome is punctuated with fun and memorable quotes, as well as anecdotes about fashion rule breakers and Nina's blessing to break some dated style rules.  

This handy hardcover reference book covers just about every situation you could possibly think of while standing in your closet contemplating what to put on. From what to wear for specific holidays, date nights, concert outings, and shopping, to what to garden in, what to wear when you meet a potential surrogate and what to wear to jury duty and therapy. 

I particularly enjoyed the chapter on what to wear when you work from home, which made me remember how much I appreciate my freelance life. Notable advice from that chapter includes the following: "take the freedom your work environment affords you, and experiment with new looks each day… You are the captain of your ship, the envy of office drones everywhere."
