This simple design is actually pretty genius. A few weeks ago, in search of some non-plastic, reusable drinking cups for my toddler to use at home, I emailed some mommy friends who keep tabs on cool kid’s gear like I do. They had some great suggestions: EIO Kids Cup and Duralex Tumblers. But I wasn’t quite sold on either design and held out hope that I could find something else out there that fit my criteria + was also pleasing to the eye.

Object found … on my doorstep today and in my email archives of sample requests. Call it a momentary episode of mommy brain, but I had already discovered this fabulous product a month before I emailed my mom friends. [sigh] Further proof that full-time motherhood + publishing a website can be a bit much for even the most organized of people. I hope to save some other mothers some time and effort in the search for cool toddler drinking cups by giving my glowing review of Silikids 6 oz glasses. They are perfection…

Similar in design to another product I love, the Lifefactory Glass Beverage Bottles, Silikids silicone encased glasses are BPA-free alternatives to plastic drinkware. The slip-resistant sleeves are easy for little hands to hold and glass is the cleanest drinking option available. Both the glass and the sleeve are dishwasher safe. And, as I’d hoped, it’s a beautiful-looking design. The Baby Luxe editor (age 2.5 yrs) was also impressed by the colorful aesthetics and said “oooh, look at that” when I unwrapped them. He was eager to use them immediately.
