Sosume [Ultra-Luxe Tees]

I'm always on the hunt for buttery soft t-shirts because I wear them on a daily basis. They are layered under other tops or often worn alone. In fact, I consider myself a bit of an expert in this department and publicists who work with me regularly know that I'm a sucker for stylish basics. My latest discovery comes from the land down under. Sosume Managing Director Alex Trimmer calls Melbourne home base but he and his partners in crime (Paulina Petkoski, Rachel Kozub and Wil Fry) travel between NYC and Australia to work on the line together. Their first collection required a six-month quest to tradeshows in New York, Milan and Tokyo, as well as visits to over 200 fabric agents, to find "the most luxurious natural and organic fabrics." The result is a line of laid-back luxe basics from tanks and tees to dresses and pants, all made of tissue-thin fabrics in black, grey and white. After sifting through a box of samples and trying them on, the grey t-shirt dress with pockets spoke to me most and it remains a fave after washing and wearing for a few weeks. But of course I'd love to have one of every style.
