Oh, Interpol. We've missed you. This fall the Joy Division-indebted group will release Interpol, their first album since 2007's Our Love to Admire.

Early nuggets, including the just-released single Barricade, have been posted online and so far the band seems less moody than we last found them, with a sound closer to Antics, than that of their debut, Turn On the Bright Lights. Overall, we can expect more of the same from the NYC post-punkers, and, if you love Interpol (we do!) that's a good thing to hear.

The upcoming album is slated for release on September 14, 2010 via Matador Records. You can pick up the Barricade single now on iTunes.
