Easy, breezy, and effortlessly chic is how I would sum up Steven Alan’s Spring 2013 collection. Comprised of lightweight woven separates in silk cottons, chambray, and linen, the line is perfect for the busy, minimalist woman who doesn’t want to be bothered with fussy fabrics and accessories (me!). I can easily see myself wearing most of his collection—around town, to work, to hang out with my two-year old daughter, or to catch a cocktail with my friends. Sun-faded prints (my fave is the khaki leaf print) and neutral colors dominate, as does his signature button-ups. These are the perfect casual dresses that can easily be worn instead of a t-shirt and jeans on a lazy day. Comfy, crisp, and casual.
