In L.O.V.E. with this skirt. The print, the silhouette, the subtle details. It’d be frequently worn item in my wardrobe for sure. Here’s what designer Geren Lockhart has to say about the Biarritz skirt:
Dena~ What inspired this piece?
Geren ~ “The whole collection is inspired by the idea of living out cinematic moments. This particular moment is the idea of walking down a beach in Biarritz on holiday.”
Dena ~ What came first, the silhouette or the fabric?
Geren ~ “Silhouette and fabric are born at the same time but not combined and merchandised until later in the design process.”
Dena ~ What attracted you to this pattern/print?
Geren ~ “We love organic graphics and knew that we wanted a polished yet artistic print since the season was overall inspired by a Gauguin exhibit I had seen at the Tate Modern in London.”
Dena ~ Where would you wear it?
Geren ~ “Funny enough I’ve worn it on TV, and to Trader Joe’s. It really does play a lot of roles in the movie.”
Dena ~ What shoes/accessories would you wear with it?
Geren ~ “I love it with heels for an event, open toe, platform. I also adore it with my fave J Crew simple leather flip flops.”
