Loeffler Randall | guest blog post + resort collex

So honored to be featured as a guest blogger for Loeffler Randall. It’s no secret that I’m a very devoted fan of the brand. Here’s the extended version of my post:

LR’s resort collex has me dreaming about a tropical mid-winter getaway. Can’t complain too much though because I call SoCal home and though I might need to throw a cozy sweater over my maxi dress, I can still enjoy the beautiful beaches of Malibu while much of the rest of the country is shoveling snow.

When I first laid eyes on Loeffler Randall’s Sasha, I had visions of catching a flight to Cabo with a bag full of Riller & Fount maxi skirts and dresses. I love this chic sandal in the nude Tortora hue. The woven espadrille detailing above the wooden platform is gorgeous. Plus, the height of this wedge is totally doable for a flat-loving girl who only wears heels ever-so often. Could definitely see myself slipping these on for lunch with the hubs at a beach-side resort. One&Only Palmilla, Los Cabos, perhaps?

The twisted multi-strap sandal, named Luca [above, top] is perfection for my LA lifestyle. I have quite a few pairs of stylish flat sandals but tend to play faves with whichever new one catches my eye each season—and they are immediately put into heavy rotation. I’m currently coveting LR’s Luca multi-strap twisted sandal in Gold… Beyond obsessed and number one on my resort/spring 12 wishlist. Would also be a fab, yet practical, choice for my soon-to-be planned trip back to Hawaii next year with my little ones and the hubs. [hint hint, love]. I’m all for shoes that are chic but also fully capable of being worn while chasing around my toddler son.

And then there’s the Neel Tortora/Black woven heel … I’m in LOVE and it takes a lot for me to fall head over heels for a shoes that isn’t flat. Let’s go back to the beach and our tropical vaca. I think these call for a babysitter to watch the kiddos and a night with my love that includes cocktails, an amazing dinner and showing off these gorgeous shoes. He’s been begging me to wear heels more often and with these I’d happily oblige.  I love their casual-chic vibe and would definitely wear them with a cool little dress—something along the lines of this Kelly Wearstler beauty (also from Resort 2012):

It’s completely true that I loved the entire Loeffler Randall resort 2012 collex when the look book popped into my inbox. (It fits my SoCal wardrobe requirements perfectly.) But I narrowed it down to these three faves, all of which are equally beautiful and have earned their place at the top of my resort/spring wishlist. Time to start planning those beach getaways.
