Yesterday I was spoiled with an afternoon of spa treats at the Beverly Wilshire hotel. Let me tell you, I totally appreciate that this great place in my ‘hood. It’s kind of amazing to know that such luxury and gorgeousness are always just a few mins away from my home. Whenever I visit the hotel—whether it’s for a delicious meal, a press event, or in this case, pure pampering—I’m always treated with with world class service. This time was no different.
Stepping into The Nail Bar, a mere week after they opened, was incredibly cool. The petite environs are absolutely gorgeous (as you can see in the pics). Being 7 mos preggo, I skipped the complimentary glass of Champagne upon arrival, and headed straight to the manicure station for my first-ever CND Shellac mani. I chose one of the new hues, dubbed Asphalt, and I’m totally impressed with the results. But the other nail polish lines offered are also stellar: Essie, Butter London and Chanel.

Other perks of this chic spot include iPads with all the latest magazine and newspaper applications (LOVE THIS!), as well as a plasma TV featuring runway vids to get your fashion fix and classic movies. You can also rent the space for your own mani/pedi soirée.
Hungry? No prob. Executive Chef Gilles Arzur whipped up a menu of bite-sized treats to enjoy on the relaxing outdoor patio. I was tempted by the green papaya and beef tataki bites and veggie tea finger sandwiches, but ended up following my heart and opted for mini sliders with sweet potato fries (delish). Suffering from a sweet tooth? Indulge in some mini cupcakes, petite French pastries or fruit tartlets.
I can’t wait to go back … which will be in about two weeks when it’s time for another mani… and maybe a pedi, too!
