Drybar (L.A.’s original blow dry bar) recently opened their sixth location, in Orange County’s famed shopping haven Fashion Island. It’s a bit of trek from my Los Angeles home, but given my status as Drybar’s Social Media Goddess, I was more than happy to head down to check it out.
I went in with my “review hat” on, knowing that I wanted to give my Très Chic Now readers and the Drybar crew honest feedback about the new shop. It was tough not to be biased and get caught up in the excitement of the grand opening with my fellow Drybar team members, but I swear that I stayed focused and impartial. The space is gorgeous, as you can see in the photo above, and the vibe was upbeat and fun—full of energy. It was so nice to just chill and watch SATC while my hair was being done. And then, as if they had tailored the music playlist just for moi, Radiohead provided the cherry on top for my first visit. To my extreme delight, the new Fashion Island team exceeded my expectations and I walked out with a sleek blowout that lasted three days. I’m also super-impressed by the hair care line Living Proof, which is what my stylist used to shampoo, condition and style my hair.
Book an appointment at Drybar Fashion Island during the first two weeks (thru March 18th) and mention this post to enjoy a complimentary scalp massage! They call them floaters, you’ll call them ten minutes of pure bliss. This was definitely a highlight of the service and something I could have easily enjoyed for another 15 minutes!
