I love my highlighted blonde hair. But the seasons have their way with it. The summer surf and sun tends to bleach it out and make it feel straw-like. And the winter further sucks the moisture out, making it static-y and limp. I’ve tried so many different shampoos and conditioners over the years that promise to revive the luster to my locks but I’m usually less than impressed. Then I tried the new-ish (debuted in June 2012) Rene Furterer Okara Active Light shampoo and conditioner. Seriously, this is the only shampoo and conditioner that has managed to replenish my hair. Yes, I had to use it regularly (I usually switch up my shampoo to avoid product burn-out), but after two weeks, my hair felt nourished and my highlights were actually a bit brighter. The fruity grapefruit fragrance it leaves behind is a luscious bonus.
