As a kid, while many of my friends were playing princess, I was daydreaming about being a super-powered super-heroine. So when I had a chance to check out MAC’s Spring 2011 collection dedicated to Wonder Woman, D.C. Comics’ long-standing female super hero, I could have leapt tall buildings in a single bound.

True to Wonder Woman’s style, the red and blue centric line features a bevy of butt-kicking eye colors, lip shades, pigments and glitter, as well as a superhuman-sized mineral skinfinish. I sampled the limited edition Golden Lariat compact for some extra summery shimmer, along with nail laquer in Obey Me, a shiny ruby red, and the Marine Ultra pigment, great for a mega blast of brazen, blue eye color (for the bold, not the shy).

While the items come branded with both the Wonder Woman and MAC logos, the comic-book packaging is almost as exciting as the makeup inside, so much so it seems unfair to toss it aside. An accessory collection of limited edition brushes and makeup bags are also available to accompany the amazonian-inspired line.
