One thing that I love about travelling is discovering hidden shopping gems in other cities. My latest discovery—Pippen Lane, a New Orleans-based children’s emporium. The store (and website) offers timeless designs for lil ones, such as Lylian Heirloom—an adorable line of designs for boys and girls that harken back the days of yesteryear (they also have gorgeous Christening gowns). Pippen Lane also features its own signature line. My heart melted when my toddler daughter played among the flowers in our backyard wearing the Cornelia-Cindy dress.

Made of sturdy, but soft cotton poplin, she bounced around the yard with her friends looking like she stepped out of a photoshoot for a kids fashion mag. I just wanted to eat her up! So glad that Pippen Lane has a website, where I can easily order more styles—as well as stylish and original toys, gifts, and nursery decor.
