I’m happy to report that I’m expecting! There is a bun in this oven and she’s due to make her debut in early November! Very exciting, indeed. And I must say, aside from some serious nausea + tension headaches during the first trimester, the second trimester (and second pregnancy in general) is definitely easier and more laid back than the first.
A lot has changed in the maternity marketplace since I was pregnant with my now almost-three-year-old son. But I still turned to some of my favorite things from my first pregnancy when I found out about baby number two. The very first thing I purchased was Elemis Camelia oil and I stocked up on Rachel Pally maxi dresses at the recent warehouse sale. And I almost forgot how much I love Mama J’s from J Brand Jeans.
Now I give you a roundup of the rest of my maternity essentials:
Numa Snacks These tasty + healthy treats are currently only available in San Francisco Bay Area stores, but you can order online. I’m hoping that they make their way to SoCal very soon because it only took two bites from the sample bags they sent me (one of each flavor), before I was hooked.
What I’ll be wearing for the next five months (and beyond):
Rachel Pally Feather Print Sleeveless Long Caftan (on sale!)
J Brand Mama J jeans (I have the legging jean in pitch, as well as a cute pair of long shorts, both of which were gifted.)
Rachel Pally Camisole Long Dress (bought this in black and a taupe feather print)
The best part about these pieces is (with the exception of the Mama J’s) they aren’t actual “maternity” clothes, but instead RTW styles that are accommodating for a burgeoning belly. I will be wearing these clothes for months and probably years to come because they are comfortable + chic.
Special additions to the beauty cabinet:

LaRocca Cellular Gold Hydrating Body Balm

Mama Mio Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Butter

Belli Pregnancy Anti-Chloasma Facial Sunscreen SPF 25
