Who knew that The Children’s Place had super-cute and totally affordable clothes for the kiddos? Well, I knew the prices couldn’t be beat but I was skeptical about the styling until I shopped (courtesy of the brand) and saw for myself that their fashion sense was on par with competing kid’s brands (ahem, Old Navy + Gap Kids). My major issue with mass market children’s stores is the risk of your little one looking like a carbon copy of four other kids at the playground. But my philosophy with these stores rings true for both kids + adults: stick to the basics—classic styles, colors, etc. Then you can mix them with higher end brands (a la Splendid Littles).
The striped, slightly faded and distressed jeans shown above are among my latest acquisitions from The Children’s Place. They are super-cute on my little guy and I love that they are soft and seem completely comfortable for him to wear. The adjustable waist band is always a bonus. I also picked out some great plaid shorts, plain tees in great colors, and some cute PJ’s.
